Eng-Kong has been in practice for more than thirty five years in the upper North Shore. Because of his wide training and expertise in different types of psychological therapies, he is capable of assessing patients and guiding them to the modality of therapy most appropriate for them. He majors in the analytically-oriented individual long-term psychotherapies. In his general psychiatric work, he offers marital therapy and conducts three types of groups- Mindfulness Based Relaxation and Meditative Group, a Social Skills and Assertiveness Training Group and Analytic Psychotherapy Group.
Eng Kong was a Councillor in the RANZCP and a former Chairman of Training in the Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Association of Australia. He teaches at the NSWIPP, AAGP and AABCAP. He is Adjunct Professor at NTI in Wollongong. He offers individual and group supervision in dynamic/analytic psychotherapy for helping professionals. He has presented seminars, workshops and keynote addresses on Psychotherapy, Mindfulness, Spirituality and Meditation at local and overseas conferences.
Dr Kam Wong MBBS DRACOG FRANZCP CERT. CHILD & ADOLESCENT PSYCHIATRY
Kam is a Consultant Child, Adolescent & Family Psychiatrist since 1990. His major areas of interest include post-partum depression, mother-infant attachment problems, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, mood and anxiety disorders, autism and autism spectrum disorders. He offers a range of individual, family and play therapies. He has an eclectic approach to patient management and would use medication when necessary. He works with children and adolescents across their developmental stages into their adult life.He also treats adult patients within a family and systemic framework.
Having a good understanding of the Oriental and Eastern Cultures, he also offers transcultural psychiatric interventions. Besides English, Kam speaks Mandarin, Cantonese and Fujian fluently. He also speaks some Malay and Indonesian.
Dr Kenneth Henson MBBS FRANZCP
Ken has been in practice as a Consultant Psychiatrist for 45 years and he has worked in the public sector and in private practice. He sees referred patients for assessment and management of adult psychiatric and psychological conditions including pharmacological treatment and supportive psychotherapy. Ken is a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists and of the College's Faculty of Psychotherapy. He has been a Member of the Australian Medical Association for 50 years. He is registered with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Authority as a Medical Specialist in Psychiatry and with the Federal Government Department of Human Services as a Specialist Medical Practitioner.
Dr Mark Shillito BMBS FRANZCP M Med
Mark is a dynamic and flexible psychiatrist/ psychotherapist, enthusiastic to work with adolescents older than 16, and well into the adult years. Helping people through either their adult or teen years who are looking for help with complex problems and who may require assistance with emotional distress/ psychological issues which may have been present for some time, is his preferred area.
He has been Clinical Lecturer/ Tutor to Psychiatrist Trainees and Medical Students at Adelaide University and Sydney University; Visiting Speaker at International Meetings and Conferences, contributing advisor/ author of professional meetings and treating professional colleagues.
He believes in a tailored approach to individual people, where standardised therapies have had less success. He is able to co-ordinate medications when needed. He has practised Medicine and Psychiatry for over 33 years.
Dr Tarra Shaw MBBS FRANZCP
Tarra is a Consultant Psychiatrist experienced in general and perinatal psychiatry. She specialises in psychotherapy for patients with depression and anxiety, eating disorders, personality disorders, and life crises. She is experienced in using medications, including in complex cases, to minimise symptoms and the burden of illness, and keeps up to date with new advances in biological psychiatry. Tarra sees adults and teenagers, working with individuals, and involving carers and family members as needed.
Tarra has been a psychiatric lecturer, tutor and examiner for the University of Sydney and the NSW Institute of Psychiatry. She has supervised numerous clinicians in their own clinical work, and been an invited speaker at conferences and forums.
Tarra does medicolegal assessments and reports. She is an Approved Medical Specialist for the Workers Compensation Commission, and a Psychiatric Assessor and Review Panelist for the State Insurance Regulatory Authority/Motor Accidents Authority.
Ms Marianne Plahn BA Psych Hon, MA Clinical Psych
Marianne is a clinical psychologist with 30 years of experience from University Teaching Hospitals, Speciality Clinics and Private Practice. She is a registered Medicare and Work Cover Provider.
She specialises in a variety of psychotherapies, including Hypnosis, EMDR, Neurofeedback Training, Mindfulness-based Therapies, Cognitive Behavioural and Contemporary Brain Based Treatments to improve psychological and physical recovery of patients. She conducts standardised psychometric, cognitive, qEEG and Personality Assessments which determines the levels of intellectual and cognitive brain functioning essential for assessment of various neuropsycholological functions. She offers personalised treatment programs for Anxiety, Depression, PTSD, Bipolar Disorder, Eating Disorders, ADD and Chronic Pain.
Ms Nicole Radcliffe BA (Hons Psych) M Couns MAPS
Nicole is a Registered Psychologist with over 17 years of experience with Medicare, Workcover, CTP, and DVA accreditation. She helps clients address work and study related issues, anxiety, fear, low self-esteem, depression, addiction, relationship issues, and adjustment to injury or illness. She also specialises in career counselling. Nicole utilises an eclectic mix of treatment approaches in finding the most appropriate strategy to fit each client’s unique circumstances. She draws from evidence based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.
